2-DAY DOG SLEDDING EXPEDITION IN SWEDEN

Experience the adventure and freedom of traveling through the wilderness of Dalarna with your own dog team. Challenge yourself to become a “Musher”

The tour

Your guide will have an overview of how to drive the sled and how to work with the dogs. Then you will get to meet the dogs and the team that you will have to take care of and drive for the next two days. We pack the sleds together with the equipment that will be on the trip. Then we head out into the wonderful nature that Dalarna has to offer. Over frozen lakes, through deep forests and open bogs, down steep slopes and over high peaks. We spend the night in a summer cottage, and explore the landscape with a dog sled during the day. We will do all the chores together such as feeding, harnessing and tethering dogs. Fetch water, collect firewood and cook. The cottage is from 1865 and is heated with wood in the fireplace and stove. There is no electricity or running water. Outdoor toilet is available.
